Scott Wilson - Academy Instructor

Hometown: Dublin, Ireland

Joined the Academy: 2017

Previous post: Co. Louth Golf Club, Ireland

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Scott joined the Academy following hugely successful coaching positions at Killeen Castle and Co. Louth Golf Club - venues that have hosted both Men’s and Ladies' European Tour events as well as the prestigious Solheim Cup in 2013.

Shortly after finishing his Engineering studies at the Dublin Institute of Technology he began his degree with the PGA at The Belfry, England. Scott now has nearly ten years of dedicated coaching experience which includes being at the forefront of Irish Ladies ‘Get into Golf’ Programme as well as contributing to the National Junior Golf Development Programmes. He was responsible for an initiative which saw overseas elite junior teams travel to Ireland for coaching and to compete at world class venues in an annual event.

During his time at Royal Tara Golf Club Scott received his European Qualification in custom fitting which links to several of Europe’s leading custom fitting experts.

Scott made the decision to turn his full attention to golf instruction in 2008 following some notable competitive amateur success.

Having worked with some of Ireland’s most recognised golf instructors Scott firmly believes in creating a coaching environment which allows golfers of all abilities to maximise their golfing enjoyment through simple and effective instruction.
