It's my belief that a combination of club fitting, instruction and a suitable learning environment is crucial in helping a player achieve their goals.

Greg Paterson - Academy Instructor

Hometown: Kilmarnock, Scotland

Joined the Academy: 2012

Previous post: Full time amateur

Greg was born and raised in Ayrshire and it was here that his love of the game began and developed as a naturally gifted 6 year-old.

Greg went on to become a well-known figure in world amateur golf, representing Scotland in some of the most prestigious events on the circuit. As an amateur he won multiple events, but he is probably best known for reaching the semi-final of the 2011 British Amateur Championship where he was narrowly beaten by the eventual winner, Bryden Macpherson.

Towards the end of 2011 when Greg was participating in the European Tour Qualifying he realised his passion for the game extended beyond simply playing the game. He subsequently embarked on becoming a British PGA professional, ultimately qualifying in 2015 at his first attempt.

Greg is widely known within the industry for his expertise in customisation but he also has a natural flair for coaching. The combination of customisation and strategy make Greg a real asset to the Golf Academy.
