Hailing from Elgin, Blair joined St Andrews Links Golf Academy from the four time Ryder Cup venue The Belfry.
Blair grew up with links golf, playing since the tender age of 8 at Moray in Lossiemouth. He studied Golf Management at the University of the Highlands and Islands and played in the University golf team which competed in the British University Championships.
A highlight of his time at the Academy includes the 2015 Open Championship during which Blair organized an audience with Tiger Woods. This personal clinic involved 25 local junior golfers who were given unprecedented access to one of the biggest names in golf. Much of Blair’s time is dedicated to the St Andrews Links Junior Golf Association (SALJGA) which provides instruction to 300 children annually within the town.
During his time with the instruction team Blair has appeared on Sky Sports and on the pages of Bunkered and Golf Monthly. Blair also writes for the St Andrews Links blog where his most popular posts include his experience delivering instruction to Ashes winner Kevin Pietersen, Winter Olympian Eve Muirhead and Tennis coach Judy Murray.
