2021 Guidelines

November 25 2021

Our courses are open for play offering the challenge of links golf in a safe environment for all ages and abilities.

We would ask all golfers to acknowledge these guidelines until further notice:

Covid Guidelines

The health and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and golfers remains our priority and we continue to ensure we provide a safe environment for everyone, promoting responsible behaviour at all times.

If you do have or make a booking in the days and weeks ahead please do not come to any of the courses if you are showing Covid-19 symptoms. If you have visited the Links and start to feel unwell or experience symptoms of Covid-19, please follow NHS guidelines. If you test positive for Covid-19, follow Government guidelines. If you test positive within 7 days of your visit to the Links, please also let us know at the earliest opportunity by contacting the Covid Officer via our Links Clubhouse Reception (01334 466666) or via email.

Booking Golf

  • Bookings can be made by calling 01334 466666 from 9am the day before play (opening hours 9am – 5pm). A limited number of tee times may be available online.

  • The singles list is not currently in operation on the Old Course.

  • Old Course Ballot: The pairing up of two balls has recommenced. A Yearly Ticketholder will still have the option to say yes or no to this (to allow for ties and competition play etc) but for visitors entering the open ballot as a two ball, it might be the case that they are paired up.

  • New Course: The booking of tee times on the New Course has reverted to being in person, on the day with the Starter, with the exception of club competitions and ties, and a limited number of visitor tee times. R&A members will once again have the right to secure each alternate time on the day.

Playing Golf

During this time we have undertaken a number of measures to ensure the safety of our colleagues and golfers. Please help us ensuring our courses and facilities can provide a safe environment at this time. Please do not come to any of the courses if you are showing Covid-19 symptoms.

  • Please don’t arrive at the Starter’s Box more than 15 minutes before play.

  • Please follow all instructions for golf that are displayed on the 1st tee.

  • Please repair pitchmarks on the green surfaces.

  • There are currently no restrictions on the use of trolleys on any course.

Important information for after your visit

  •  If you start to feel unwell or experience symptoms of COVID-19, please follow NHS guidelines.

  • If you test positive for COVID-19, follow Government guidelines. If you’ve tested positive within 7 days of your visit to any of our facilities, please also let us know at the earliest opportunity by contacting the Covid Officer via 01334 466666 or emailing covid.officer@standrews.com
