2021 Guidelines

January 04 2021

Our courses remain open for play offering the challenge of links golf in a safe environment for all ages and abilities.

Following today’s announcement from the First Minister we would like to advise you of a number of operational changes that will be adopted at midnight in conjunction with nationwide efforts to contain the coronavirus.
From Tuesday 5th January we would ask all Ticketholders to acknowledge these revised guidelines until further notice:

  • Courses remain open for play for one or two balls only from a maximum of two households. Please note that bookings for single golfers will be accepted on all courses except the Old Course, where due to the ballot still being oversubscribed on a regular basis - a two-ball entry will be required.

  • Any advanced bookings with more than two golfers will not be permitted. Only two golfers may attend and play in the allocated time. For additional availability please check online at or phone the Links Clubhouse Reception on 01334 466666 from 9am tomorrow morning.

  • Golfers must stay close to home, with travel permitted only for essential purposes in line with the new legislation. Ticketholders should not make a booking on the Links’ courses unless they permanently reside within Fife. Please note that should it become obvious in the booking process that a Ticketholder resides outside Fife, the booking will not be accepted. Please also be aware that any guest of a Ticketholder must also follow the travel guidance and should not be travelling from outwith Fife – we would encourage all Ticketholders to ensure that this is the case.

From the close of business on Friday 20th November we have taken the difficult decision to close our shops and catering outlets, with the exception of the Old Pavilion which will continue to offer a takeaway service (Mon-Sat 08:00 to 12:30).
The nationwide response to the pandemic remains a fluid and dynamic situation. Throughout 2020, the considered response of our community of colleagues and golfers demonstrated that golf is a sport that can be played outdoors with physical distancing and increased safety measures in place. Everyone connected with the Home of Golf is pleased that all of our efforts continue to be recognised by the Scottish Government. We continue to liaise with Scottish Golf and will share any further updates with Ticketholders at the earliest opportunity. In the meantime please keep up to date with course conditions and guidelines via or through our social media channels.
