The company was created in the early 1980s when former textile and wine businessman, Ely Callaway, purchased a share in the Hickory Sticks USA golf company.
In the early days, Mr. Callaway steadily grew the business, but the introduction of a radical new four-faceted sole design incorporated into a stainless steel perimeter weighted club transformed the business and charted its path to become one of the most powerful and recognisable golf brands in the world.
