Three students from St Andrews Links Golf Academy have reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Boys Championship at Monifieth Golf Club.
Ewan Scott, Bradley Neil and Ben Kinsley, who all receive tuition from St Andrews Links Golf Academy Instruction Staff, have reached the final four of the prestigious competition.
Ewan (number 1 seed) and Ben will now face each other in an all-St Andrews contest while Bradley (number 2 seed) faces Ben Craggs (Glenbervie Golf Club), who is the son of Scottish ladies national coach Kevin Craggs, in the second semi-final.
In this morning's contests Ewan defeated Stuart Easton 5&4 while Ben triumphed 2&1 over Euan Walker and Bradley won 5&4 in his match against Blair Carnegie.
Director of Instruction at St Andrews Links Golf Academy Steve North paid tribute to the boys' efforts in reaching the latter stages of the championship.
He said: "They have all done fantastically well, battling some difficult weather conditions and great opponents to reach the final four. To see three golfers, who all work with ourselves here at the Academy or have come through St Andrews Links Junior Golf Association (SALJGA) is just fantastic and we are all immensely proud of their achievements.
"All four boys are talented golfers in their own rights but Ewan and Bradley as top seeds have coped with the pressure really well. I wish all of the boys the best of luck in this afternoon's matches and am sure we will see a keenly contested final, no matter who reaches the last two, tomorrow."
The winners of this afternoon's matches will compete in the 36-hole final for the title tomorrow (Saturday). Entry at Monifieth Golf Club is free.
