St Andrews Links Golf Academy is delighted to announce Luca Zanin from The National Golf Club in Australia has joined its instruction staff.
Hailing from Melbourne, Luca studied a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Sport and Golf Management at Griffith University and the Australian PGA’s International Golf Institute (IGI).
Luca’s switch to St Andrews marks a return visit to the Home of Golf for Luca, who was selected as one of two Australians to represent Griffith University and the IGI at the Boyd Quaich Trophy in the town in 2010.
Following that trip Luca Graduated from the Australian PGA Traineeship in 2011 and now boasts the highest ‘AAA’ rating for an Australian PGA Professional.
Having recently achieved Level 2 Titleist Performance Institute Fitness and Junior status, Luca is up to date with a range of the latest coaching and learning methodologies and can tailor lessons for golfers of all abilities.
A lifelong student of the game Luca has taken inspiration, ideas and instruction from many of the game’s most famous names and now hopes to put those lessons into practice during his time at the Home of Golf.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining St Andrews Links Golf Academy. Doing the job that I love at the Home of Golf is a real dream come true for me and I’m really looking forward to being part of the great team at the Academy.
“The Golf swing should be matched to the individual and the more I learn about my client’s psychological and physical makeup the more success we will have as a team.”
Luca joins the Academy’s team of PGA-Qualified instructors, led by Director of Instruction Steve North, who all use innovative, personally tailored coaching methods to enable pupils to make the most of potential and to improve their performance, our instructors deliver a range of coaching styles, from the highly technical to more traditional.
Steve added: “We’re delighted to welcome Luca onboard. He’s got a great grounding in the game and I’m sure visiting golfers and local residents alike will appreciate his teaching style and philosophy.”
